Alison Brown & Steve Martin – “Bluegrass Radio”

Today, banjo legend Alison Brown releases a new single with actor and known banjoist, Steve Martin. The fun and frolicky track about getting a hit on Bluegrass radio stations also features Sam Bush, Stuart Duncan, Trey Hensley and Todd Phillips.

Iron & Wine – “All in Good Time” (featuring Fiona Apple)

Another great new song from Sam Beam’s (Iron & Wine) seventh full-length album Light Verse (out April 26) features guest vocals from Fiona Apple. Beam says of Apple’s contribution to the song: “Her voice is a miracle that sounds like both a sacrifice and a weapon at the same time.”

Leyla McCalla – “Love We Had”

A cover originally written and performed by Ethiopian artist and activist Ali Mohammed Birra, Leyla McCalla has shared her Tropicalia-inflected version of “Love We Had” today. Serving as an African Diasporic declaration of sonic freedom in the face of all that has kept us apart from one another, the song appears on her upcoming album Sun Without the Heat (out April 12).

Kacey Musgraves – “Too Good To Be True”

Today Kacey Musgraves releases her fifth studio album, Deeper Well. Recently, she performed her new song “Too Good To Be True” on Saturday Night Live.

Alisa Amador – “I Need to Believe” (featuring Quinn Christopherson)

Alisa Amador, winner of NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Contest, has announced her debut album, Multitudes (out June 7). The Boston-area musician will feature appearances from Gaby Moreno, Madison Cunningham & past Tiny Desk Winner Quinn Christopherson, featured on this new track “I Need to Believe.”
