Video Premiere: Jaimee Harris, “Missing Someone”
Over the past few years, Texas-bred singer-songwriter Jaimee Harris has been making waves with her emotive, stirringly honest songwriting that walks the often thin line between folk and country. Whatever you want to call it, it rides on the smooth instrument of Harris’s vocals and her courageous storytelling lyricism. All of this will be in full feature on a forthcoming album due in February 2023.
If you’ve seen her on tour with Mary Gauthier, you’ve heard some of the stunning songs already—including its title track, “Boomerang Town” and the single Harris releases this week, “Missing Someone.”
The latter is featured here in this exclusive premiere of a video that showcases not just Harris’s impeccable performance but also the thoroughly entertaining dance performance of a troupe of folks at a gym. Among them: Gauthier in pink duckie shorts.
