The Waifs Add Two ARIA Awards to Their Collection

Australian folk trio The Waifs were honored with two ARIA Awards (the Australian equivalent of the Grammy) from the Australian Record Industry Association on Oct. 21. The group won Best Independent Release and Best Blues & Roots Album for their latest release, Up All Night. Ealier, the album was recognized with ARIA Artisan Awards for Producer of the Year (The Waifs and Chris Thompson) and Engineer of the Year (Thompson). The big winner of the evening was pop singer/songwriter Delta Goodrem with a record-breaking 7 awards. Keith Urban won for Best Country Album.
