Riders Celebrate Number 5000

Riders In the Sky, “America’s Favorite Cowboys,” marked their 5000th career performance with a concert in Cincinnati on Saturday. The Grammy Award-winning group, which has released 34 albums during their 27 1/2 years together, has traveled through all 50 states and 9 countries. They became members of the Grand Ole Opry in 1982. Riders in the Sky’s first appearance in November of 1977 was at Herr Harry’s Phranks ‘n’ Steins in Nashville, TN.
