Join an Artists’ Roundtable Discussion On the Foundational Role of Black Artists Across Roots Music

Craft Recordings and Concord are partnering with the Americana Music Association, Folk Alley, Folk Alliance International, the National Museum of African American Music, The Opry, WMOT, WSM-AM, and WXPN for a free, hour-long virtual conversation moderated by Dr. Bryan Pierce, Curator for the National Museum of African American Music, on the foundational role of Black artists in the creation and formation of Roots music.

Celebrated musician panelists Amythyst Kiah (GRAMMY® Award nominated), Dom Flemons (GRAMMY-Award winner) and Leyla McCalla (International Folk Music Award nominee) will share their perspectives on creating music, and their contribution to the recently released collection Birthright: A Black Roots Music Compendium, followed by an audience Q&A session.

Join in on Monday, March 27 at 12 noon ET / 11 am CT / 9 am PT.
