In the Folk Alley MEMBER Spotlight: GG Ramirez

Our 2024 Spring Fund Drive ENDS TODAY! Since you listen to Folk Alley and since you appreciate the unique mix of music you hear, 24/7, please donate today! It’s thanks to our members that Folk Alley remains accessible to anyone in the world who wants to hear it.

This spring, we’re so glad to shine a spotlight on the folks who really matter — our members, who make Folk Alley possible for all of us!

This week, get to know GG Ramirez, a Folk Alley member since 2010!

Where do you listen to Folk Alley and how did you discover it?

GR: I listen in San Antonio, Texas where I live but with my App I listen to Folk Alley wherever I am. I discovered Folk Alley when I got my first iPhone in 2010. I found it on iheartradio and became hooked immediately.

What do you love about Folk Alley?

GR: I love Folk Alley for many reasons. Primarily it’s the music. I love listening to the classic folk as well as the new music, Celtic music and I love having a DJ. I support Folk Alley because I love that it exists in the format that it does. It’s all music all the time with no distracting adds to jar the atmosphere and that is worth supporting.

If you were trying to convince someone to support Folk Alley as a new member, what would you say?

GR: I would say to non-members that if they appreciate the artist and curators of quality music, enjoy a steady stream of new and classic songs and want to maybe find a new favorite artist, then it should be totally worth the small price to pay for the service.

I am grateful for the opportunity to share my love for Folk Alley. I thank them for providing this service that I derive so much enjoyment from. I listen daily and I look forward to the holiday streams every year.
