Courtney Marie Andrews joined Cindy Howes for a Guest DJ set on Folk Alley. Andrews released her latest album May Your Kindness Remain in March of 2018. The Americana singer-songwriter writer brings to mind the lonesome qualities of Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt with an emotional, dynamic musical landscape.
While it does have a heart-breaking quality to it, her songwriting takes ordinary moments in life and turns them into poignant beautiful extraordinary sentiments. Courtney Marie Andrews has an innate ability to do that and her music has a real northeastern/rust belt blue-collar relatable nostalgia.
In her Guest DJ set, she shares music from Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin and Linda Ronstadt herself.
