Cristina Vane – “Make Myself Me Again”

Cristina Vane is back, digging into her own roots with a new album titled Make Myself Me Again (released May 20 on Red Parlor Records). This title track is a great stripped-down tune about reclaiming your self after meeting some hard times.

Kyshona – “Out Loud”

Nashville-based singer-songwriter Kyshona has been readying the follow-up to her 2019 release Listen and co-wrote this tune with fellow Nashvillian Caroline Spence.

Steve Earle – “Mr. Bojangles”

Following the release of his albums Townes and Guy, Steve Earle is releasing this latest—what he calls the album that “completes the set”—a tribute to Jerry Jeff Walker. The album, titled Jerry Jeff is out today on New West Records.

She & Him – “Darlin’”

Speaking of covers albums, She & Him’s new album (due July 22 on Fantasy Records) is a tribute to Beach Boys front-man and songwriter Brian Wilson. The first single was pulled from the Beach Boys’ 1967 album Wild Honey.

Willi Carlisle – “Life on the Fence”

The second single from Carlisle’s forthcoming album, Peculiar, Missouri (due July 15) digs into the experience of being LGBTQ+ and falling love in a place where folks aren’t accepting of queer love.
