Humbird, “Daughter of Empire”

Midwest indie folk artist Humbird (aka Siri Undlin) returns with a new album Morning When It Comes (out 9/25/2026) featuring “Daughter of Empire.” Undlin reflects, “It was surprisingly cathartic to take this song about empire and personal avoidance and choose to infuse it with playfulness and sonic urgency, a reminder that small changes can shift an entire framework if you’re willing to experiment and not take yourself too seriously.”

Chris Pierce, “This Sunlit Morning”

Songs for the Heavy Hearted (out 8/21/2026) is the upcoming album from Chris Pierce. He shares, “Songs for the Heavy Hearted was written by listening and sitting with what hurts and refusing to look away. The songs don’t argue or explain. They’re meant to tell the truth with care and meet you exactly where you are.”

Veranda, “J’entends ton nom”

Veranda, Canadian trad band that sings in Québecois French features singer/lyricist Catherine-Audrey Lachapelle and guitarist/composer Léandre Joly-Pelletier. Their new song “J’entends ton nom” (“I Hear Your Name’), from their new self-titled release, tells the story of how Catherine’s grandmother, recently deceased, is with her every day.

Bella White, “Pink Living Room”

Today (6/5) Bella White releases her third album A Sign in the Weather. The album marks a shift away from traditional bluegrass toward a moodier, more audacious breed of folk-Americana, heavily influenced by her move to New Orleans.
