In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek at some exciting new music that’s caught our ears this week!
Anjimile, “Waits For Me”
Anjimile’s new song “Waits For Me” is from his upcoming album You’re Free To Go (out 3/13/2026). “When I was a little girl, I wanted to be free… When I was a little boy, I wanted to be real.”, the musician, who is trans, disarmingly reflects on “Waits For Me,” a powerful reckoning on childhood identity, as he affirms and soothes his inner child.
Kevin Morby, “Javelin”
Being released on May 15, Little Wide Open is Kevin Morby’s latest album featuring the song “Javelin.” Morby says: “This is a song I wrote about being in love with someone you keep circling around the globe, relentlessly traveling through the air and down highways, and then returning home alone to middle America. Amelia Meath (Sylvan Esso) shines here, with her incredible vocals. I had invited her into the studio and asked that she create a backing choir out of just her voice – but her presence is so special that her ‘backing vocals’ can’t help but take the lead.”
Rissi Palmer, “Can You Run?”
Country musician and radio host (Color Me Country on Apple Music) Rissi Palmer has just released her new EP Perspectives. The EP includes a cover of “Can You Run?” written by Chris Stapleton and Mike Henderson, famously performed by The SteelDrivers on their 2010 album Reckless.
Goodnight Moonshine, “Somebody’s Child’
Molly Venter (of Red Molly) and guitarist/producer Eben Pariser just released their new album Business Unusual featuring the song “Somebody’s Child” for their town, New Haven, CT. “This song is my love letter to New Haven, written as a neighbor and a mother. It’s an exercise in really seeing the people on our shared streets.” Shares Molly.
