In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek at some exciting new music that’s caught our ears this week!
Lucinda Williams, “The World’s Gone Wrong”
There’s a new Lucinda Williams album coming on January 23, 2026. This is the title track, “The World’s Gone Wrong” – which is about the struggles and resilience of working-class Americans in modern times. The track features incredible country singer Brittney Spencer. This song sounds like Lucinda at her very best.
Flock of Dimes, “Long After Midnight”
“Flock of Dimes” is the moniker for Jenn Wasner’s solo project. Wasner is a musician from Baltimore who is best known as one of the founding members of the band Wye Oak. “Long After Midnight” is a beautiful dreamy acoustic indie folk song from her new album The Life You Save.
William Prince, “For the First Time”
William Prince’s latest, ‘Further From the Country,’ resurfaces his youth, and shows how his upbringing and experience in Peguis First Nation – the native reservation in Manitoba – have shaped his acute perspective on the world. Not all of the memories are happy, but he uses them as a framework for processing the heartaches, injustices and overwhelming sorrows of today. “For The First Time” is one of Prince’s most personal works to date — a meditation on how grief reshapes itself with time, and how love endures even as we learn to live without those we’ve lost.
Wes Corbett, “Eagle Harbor”
Drift is the second album from banjo player Wes Corbett. The album features Sam Bush, Sierra Hull, Bryan Sutton, Chris Eldridge, Darol Anger, and nearly a dozen more take star turns in orbit around Corbett’s gravitational pull. Wes Corbett’s thoughtful and inventive banjo playing have made him familiar in many different corners of the bluegrass and acoustic music world. He is well-known for his work with bands such as Joy Kills Sorrow, Sam Bush and Molly Tuttle.
