Folk Alley Sessions at 30A: Chastity Brown

Chastity Brown has been working on her new album for some time. An earlier version of it—recorded in Sweden back in 2019—had a release date that was pushed due to the pandemic lockdown, and Brown wound up recording new songs in the interim. The result, Sing to the Walls, has a title that not only invokes those days of isolation, but also carries the listener through a spectrum of emotions and experiences that cannot be extracted from the years that ensued.

In January 2020, at the 30A Songwriters Festival, when nobody could have foreseen what was coming, Brown gathered with Folk Alley staff in a house on the Florida panhandle and performed a selection of songs from the album that would come to be Sing to the Walls. We are thrilled to finally get to share those videos with you now.

Enjoy these exclusive, solo, stripped-down versions of songs from her new album.
