The Dixie Bee-Liners

The Dixie Bee-Liners are one of a number of young bands that make up the next generation of bluegrass. More traditional blue than new, the talent players (Brandi Hart-lead vocals, Buddy Woodward-strings, Renee Johnson-fiddle, Jeremy Darrow-bass, Jonathan Maness-guitar, Sam Morrow-banjo) bring contemporary energy to the genre with their own collection of original songs. Although their music hearkens back to Bill Monroe, the group formed in the most modern way – Maness joined with the help of an Internet ad and Morrow developed his chops across the pond. Already topping Bluegrass Now’s fan choice poll, the Bee-Liners are gathering even more praise with the release of their CD Ripe.
