Day 3 – and I’m still trying to speak French

So far Folk Alliance has been a really great experience. We’ve met tons of musicians and agents and presenters – all coming together to support the future of folk music. I’ll have Jim report later on everything he saw during the showcases (I fell asleep after a long day of being friendly!). I’ve discovered that the French word for turkey is dinde and that most people will help you out when you get stuck.

Montreal is a very nice place. They are holding the “Festival Montreal En Lumniere” across from our room, complete with a sledding hill, fireworks and a giant orb with lights and music that people stand inside. Tonight Abbe and I want to go ice skating on the outdoor rink if they rent skates. And then on to showcases for our last night here.
