Beehive Field Recordings: BlissFest – Sessions on the Hill
We produced these pop-up sessions this past May (2019) on the sprawling farm property that is home to the BlissFest Music Festival during the off-season.
The BlissFest non-profit arts and music festival – now in its 39th year – is held every July in picturesque rural Northern Michigan and is known for featuring a broad mix of styles that define American roots and world music.
All of the artists featured here are BlissFest alumni and – with the exception of Austin-based singer-songwriter Rebecca Loebe – all are actively touring Northern Michigan artists who represent a snapshot of the vibrant musical community that exists there.
